The article discusses the weldability of DNV 2-4 low-temperature steel and the practical welding of these steels with the MMA, FCAW and SAW processes using ESAB consumables. Emphasis is given on how to avoid loss of HAZ and weld metal low-temperaure toughness properties. Welding procedure specifications are shown for the FCAW and SAW processes.
